Cheetahs are thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies. That's the short version.
They also don't care what you think. They knowingly exemplify the saying that "the candle which burns twice as bright, burns half as long". Life is short, time is fleeting and, right or wrong, they live without much use for propriety, rule systems, criticism, tradition, polemics, and other such constraints. They proceed on impulse with what little they know and they pick up the rest along the way.
Cheetahs laugh in the face of words like "No" and "Wait". They make a thousand mistakes before getting it right, and they do so with good cheer and endless optimism. You will not find a gloomy cheetah. They have no time for social parasites and emotional vampires; they are self-confident in the extreme and view every failure as merely a prelude to future greatness. They love other self-made, self-defined people. They party to win.
They are contrarians and revolutionaries, poets and explorers, they ruin and stray and break new territory as a matter of course. But they also stick around to clean up the mess because there is possibility in chaos and reconstruction. They have no preconceived notion of how things should be, and espousing dogma to them is of absolutely no use. They happily accept and tolerate anyone they meet, until that person becomes an obstacle.
You would be a fool to put a cheetah in charge of anything, but unwise to disregard their actions as they churn through cycles of trial and error; making discoveries along the way. They tend to stand out as adventurers, explorers, artists, poets, lovers, fighters, pirates, scoundrels, dancers, incendiaries, and any manner of rebel required.
Nothing inspires a cheetah to action and excellence more than attempts to repress and discourage.

Once again, the art is fabulous, and I love the expression on his face. The sense of movement is gorgeous, and the shading. <3
But your writing really makes it for me. I adore your description of the cheetah as a daredevil with a cause. Fun idea, and excellent execution. c:

Favorited for great reason! I love the way you did his spots, I love the motion in this, I love his expression, and as always, I love the bit you write for each picture! I think of all of 'em this write up really echos kinda what I thought of cheetah characters, myself, which is amusing/neat.
Fantastic job, overall. :)

I don't think I've ever stared at a picture so long! The abundance of angles is like a delicious overload of business which adds to the frenetic vibe - yet the lines are spaced out enough to provide JUST the right amount of compositional space, balancing the detail. I'm consistently in awe of your work and don't frankly know what I'd do with myself if I ever got a commission out of you :o
