She's part of a story I've been working on, and her design had nothing to do with Avatar (I have older versions as proof, heh).
From a purely non-creative standpoint, I wanted something that blended fantasy and anthro. She had to be sort of cheetah-ish, because my website is cheekitty.com.
From the story standpoint, she's a diety of women, and like many feminine goddesses, has multiple facets and her coloring/markings embody those. :)

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to step on any toes when I mentioned Avatar. I know it wasn't your intention to have it connected to Avatar but it was the first thing I could think of.
I think you achieved you goal of the combination. She has a peaceful baring. She looks like she is overlooking the ocean or a water body. what do you plan to use as background?

I'm not sure yet on the background, I was listening to celtic music when I drew it and had this mental image of the Dover cliffs. :)
