Last days have been crazy with several house repairs that simply didn't allow me to work on this new drawing. But finally this weekend I was able to work seriously on it and it is finally finished. Yay!
Another thing that I wanted to try as an artwork. Drawing a sunset. I thought it was going to be really hard because a sunset is a really majestic scene and requires a lot of detail. I know that my sunset interpretation wasn't too elaborated and it is really far from those classic and amazing wallpapers of sunsets, but hey! This is my very first time doing that and the result was great without a crazy effort, to be honest. I hope that also the Big McIntosh fans can have a bit more nice content with this new drawing ;)

Eeyup! :)
The imagery brings me back to when Big Macintosh, to help Apple Bloom participate in the Sisterhood Social, dressed up like a girl to make sure Apple Bloom could participate.
That episode had a lot of really good moments of showing how, as kids grow, they tend to find less interest in parental figures. Big Mac, for foal Apple Bloom, was like her dad as it is doubtful AB ever got to see Bright Mac and Pear Butter.
With Apple Bloom older, she wants to be more like her sister, Applejack. Applejack is an Element Of Harmony, has saved Equestria countless times, and even made a lot of great efforts to make sure the farm stayed in the family. This left the older brother to feel sad over how he no longer had a special bond with his baby sister.
If I remember right, the episode ended with Apple Bloom and Big Mac sharing a moment watching a sunset. So that is what I imagine here. Though, perhaps with a little addition...

"You did look quite silly as Orchard Blossom," teases Apple Bloom.
Big Mac blushes.
"All for my baby sister," he replies.
"Baby sister?" she replies. "I ain't a foal no more."
Big Mac winks as he reaches into a basket he had with him.
"Well," he says with a deeper blush as he pulls out a youth-sized disposable diaper. "You could be."
Apple Bloom appears confused.
Big Mac lowers his head and sighs.
"It would just be nice to care for you again," he says while worrying about how his youngest sister may be reacting. "Ever since you got with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, I feel like I just do not matter to you like I used to."
A tear escapes Big Mac's eye.
Apple Bloom looks about to see if any pony is watching. However she eventually decides, if her brother can pretend to be a mare for a day, she can pretend to be a foal for him for just a short time as the sun sets over the horizon.
"Go on ahead," she says to her much older brother as she lays upon her back on the grass. "No pictures, though."
A smile forms across Big Mac's face.
"Thank you, Little Bloomer," he says softly while getting the diaper back out, putting it on Apple Bloom with the same care he did when he and Granny Smith were doing most of her early upbringing, and making sure to add lavender-scented foal powder to give that 'foal feel'.
Apple Bloom yawns. The diaper feeling like a pillow around her flank while the lavender scent in the air reminds her how tired the day's activities were.
Big Mac notices and scoops Apple Bloom up in his front hooves and cradles her close to his warm body.
Apple Bloom shifts a bit as she finds herself very relaxed and comfortable in her brother's hooves.
"That's it, Little Bloomer," he says while starting to gently rock his temporary foal sister. "Big brother's got you. You're always safe with me."
Another yawn from AB that is followed by a little smacking of her lips is all she does before falling into a deep sleep.
"Eeyup," he says quietly as the sun continues to set. "Just like old times."

I believe all the Apples are padded here. However the tale above is one that just came as I thought back on the whole 'Orchard Blossom' thing along with how desperate Big Mac was to regain the love of Apple Bloom.

Yeah hehe. You remember that even better than me. That episode is really curious and funny I have to say. And the last scene in the sunset is pretty amazing. I was probably about to cry when I looked at those great family moments.
I liked a lot your short "alternative ending" story for that episode. That would be really cute to see.
Thanks a lot for comenting Yosh :3
