Kohi was born in Latori, where she spent her early years traveling with her family. She always had an interest in machanical design. When she was young, her Mother's music box broke. Feeling bad, Kohi dismantled her fathers clock and used some of its parts to repair the music box. Dispite fixing the music box, her parents where not happy. Since then she had developed an interest in building things. Eventually her family moved to Ayelahai, her father's home country, and she would get a job fixing various machines, starting with clocks to eventually things such as lights and even electric stoves. She would use spare parts to tinker and build toys such as mini wind up carts and model carousels. Dispite her father wanting her to go into medicine, she wanted to travel abroad to learn more about electrical engineering.
