He's the on of 2 survivors of a "race" who was at the begining of all thing. They were a "spirit power" ( like time, love, hate or chaos ) for each people. Life appears but they were out of a concept of space or time. But one day someone find a way to found them and kill them.
The learner of time, Artagone, must to take the spirit power of his master, space. And this character, know as kenneth on ours worlds, tried to fight and saved his people. He failed but can take the spirit power of hope ( phoenix form), strenght ( tyger form ) and life ( snake form ). He is the chaos / destruction ( not as a negative term ). The 3 spirit rest on his mark ( the littles things nears to the triangle ).
After that all was a lie. The personn who had killed his people take all spirit power and became a fake god. Kenneth try to infiltrate his army but he just succeed to stay a little closer of Angels ( commanders of the killer ). He waited and can just looked the univers become a "game" for the murderer. When he can take it anymore, he try to open their eyes to people, but he was just see like a dark people, a monster.
He become until his wishes, the "god" ( irony ) of the primordial world ( it's the world where there are a lot of magic of ancient times ), he accepts his faith for protect this people. The great dragon was everyere on the civilation, sometimes he show his human form for being more understanble ( his dragon form is too massive ). But the angels came and kill him, but they let him for dead.
A boy who passed here show his weapon when he saw him, Kenneth asked to the boy if he wanted the true. And strangely, the boy said yes. And with a ancient magic, the spirit of the dragon became a tatoo of the left arm of the boy. Kenneth can control his body when he must ( can't do everytime, the boody is too weak ). He keep in mind, the hunt just begin.
So yeah his dragon form is more his natural form even in fact they don't had a real form. And the boy is Fëanàro my principal character :)
