I made a poorly drawn flat, this was mostly a color test thing so the lines are kinda meh but whatever.
this is my Feknin oc because I... needed one... and Six needed a buddy if he survived their apocalypse.
His name is Emmett, originally referred to as #16777549, sairy designation.
He was a slave on his homeworld as he was deemed relatively useless shortly after being declared a sairy.
He's one of the only survivors of the Feknin extinction, who is rescued from the planet by Six, one of the nine Feknin Gods.
(here's a quick summary, if you dont wanna read jump down to after the next break)
(The Nine are actually the original nine Feknin that Fek created ((haha get it, "fek nine" wow what a loser)) and are viewed as Gods on their homeworld, as they used Fek's machines to create the rest of the species((they cannot reproduce, they were not designed to)), quite literally by throwing random DNA into his bioprinter to autosplice with pre-existing samples and then observing the results on a never-ending project to create something "perfect" that can kill Fek, their creator... yes the "Gods" were literally just trying to find a way to kill the scientist who made them because they were terrified of him.
They failed when they created Sairy, the only sairy((sairys are individuals that fail to show useful qualities for society, often due to a alteration in their psychology that deviates from the Feknin "normal", and quite literally means "airy-headed")) to ever take a position just below the Gods ((Sairy killed two of them himself so they were also afraid of him but refused to acknowledge it)).
Ultimately he is sent to retrieve Fek alive, as they think the printer they "respawn" from when killed is beginning to break down and they don't know how to fix it. Sairy turns sides when he finds out who Fek is, and pulls the killswitch on a deadly bioweapon Fek designed to wipe out the Feknin and only them, liberating all of the slaves on their homeworld.)
I just summed up a small novel in one large paragraph like a movie review there ya go.
anyway, Six attempts to fight Fek on the world he is trapped on and is nearly completely paralyzed in the battle (The Nine take turns altering their bodies with successful splices and then go on missions to fight Fek, wearing helmets so they can rewatch their battle if they are killed, as they lose memories when they "respawn"), so Fek mounts him on the wall and talks to him (he's literally losing his mind at this point, he's been on the planet for nearly 400 years all alone, unable to contact his people or escape because the planet's high acidity levels destroy electronics. ((he's living in a cave and burning all the acidic plantlife that tries to creep in)). Six is left behind when Sairy comes and takes Fek off the planet.
He eventually manages to use his one remaining arm that he can still move, which he has been hiding from Fek, to remove himself from the wall and make his way to an area where Fek was building a ship capable of leaving the planet's surface (If Sairy hadn't come, Fek would have made it off the planet anyway, the Feknin were fucked either way). He finishes the ship and returns to his homeworld after the "apocalypse" has already occurred.
Six finds Emmett on the island, in the place The Nine used to reign from. He's taken refuge here, as it is the safest place on the island ever since the creeping tendrils came and started absorbing everyone, growing into a pulsating mass that crept across the planet's surface, killing all it touched.
Emmett helps Six, who says he's some kind of researcher from the science division, get to a backup terminal where he manages to print a new body to transfer his consciousness into. It's the original body Fek had designed for him when creating the first nine (a downgrade from the one he had genetically engineered, but an upgrade from being nearly paralyzed).
He then takes Emmett, who is secretly somewhat frightened of him at this point, telling him that since he was able to survive when the others hadn't that he might as well be ranked above the Gods, as he was clearly superior to them all along, and they flee their old homeworld together.
They ultimately make a home for themselves on a refuge planet, where they live in an apartment with way too many alien cats, but nobody's going to tell them not to because they're Feknin and the majority of the galaxy's inhabitants are unnerved or frightened by them.
Emmett is blind with the exception of his single secondary eye, which sees only in infrared. He lost his left eye in early childhood due to a skull deformity and an infection. The other eyes he lost in a fight in the slave camp he lived in after being designated a sairy and removed from the schooling program.
He's either completely silent, using his ears and sense of smell to understand his surroundings, or can be heard making a high-pitched, buzzing-clicking tone to echolocate. He's generally very quiet and has a strong passion for music. He secretly played a ukulele in the slave camp, and quickly picks up multiple new instruments after leaving with Six.
Because of his past, he's untrusting and jumpy, often turning violent when things take a turn for the ugly. Otherwise he's basically just another huge cat just like Sairy but with significantly less hair.
(Sairy decides to make the designation his actual name because of the irony. This is not a quality he shares with Emmett, who sees it as his slave title and will not stand to be called by it)
that's a lot of text nobody read... can you tell im a writer even though nobody reads anything i write because i never finish anything?????????
