So this is a work in progress shot...the lower half of my new dragon i am working on, im pretty proud of how it is coming out. I have been putting alot of work into this one and i am still learning all kinds of new things, the tail is my favorite part though, turned out really awesome, going to start work on the top half now. Over 300 individually cut scales make up the lower half, mostly solid super sculpy but it does have a wire frame in the core. I am making this in my barracks in the navy while in school so i dont have the facilities i would like to have :( . I will post more pics when i get the next section done. Let me know what you think :D

Man, that's awesome! =D The legs look great, and the textures the scales have really adds to everything.
And while I hate sounding like a know-it-all (cause I don't, or I'd be rich XP).. How thick is that torso? A tip on both saving clay and making cooking things later less stressful (sculpy can split while baking if it's too thick) is to use a crumpled aluminum foil interior. Just make an extra little air hole somewhere unnoticeable so the air trapped in the foil has a way to vent out.

I actually tried at first sculpting attempts with using foil as a core..but it was so soft i was having a really hard time molding the clay around it while trying to keep the shape..i got frustrated and decided to just screw it and use solid sculptures, so far i have not had any problems...so far >.>
