Well... I'm sure you didn't expect this kind of artwork from me any time soon... or did you?
What's this... no scales... no muscles... just a thin, sad, lonley grey wolf.
Yes, I've also watched "BEASTARS" and loved it very much! ^^
And it provided me with a feeling I haven't felt in a long time ago: Wachting a show and feeling the urge to draw the main character!
I've done this in the 80s and 90s very often... but it kinda fell apart after some time. Also, REPTILE was more famous all the time.
Still, here you go... a thin, sad, lonely grey wolf... confused and not knowing how to cope with his feelings.
There are times I can relate... also, it's nice getting out of my usual comfort zone every now and then!
Drawing media:
Paper, pencil, ink, brush, acrylics, COPICS (no digital stuff!)
Size:
A4 (20 x 30 cm)
Working time:
4 hours
"Legoshi" and "BEASTARS" © to Itagaki Paru and published by Akita Shoten
Artwork done by Patrick Reichel aka
reptilecynrik
NOTE:
As you can recognize I favour the style of the ANIME and not the MANGA (though that one is cool, too)!
Check out the ANIME and/or the MANGA - I can really recommand it!!!

Hehe, thanks... though I'm a 90s comic artist type... originally. XD
Yeah, I grew up with McFARLANE and JIM LEE... Spider-Man, X-Men, Spawn... and my REPTILE art really shows! But I've also grown to love MANGA/ANIME and everything Japan related.
Maybe, I'm going to do a KILL LA KILL artwork soon - because that is my favourite show!!!

Yay glad you also like Beastars! X3 Yeah I've watched it too and waiting for second season of anime to come. You nailed Legosi's anime look terrifically here. ^^
Legosi's relationship with Haru is cute though I gotta say I'd love it if he had romance with that deer Louis. What you think of that? :3

The relationship with Haru is the "obvious choice"... and with Rouis (Louis) it would be the alternate choice. ^^
Both could work since both characters are prey in a matter of speaking: the rabbit or the deer... both is hunted by a wolf.
But Louis is more or less some kind or mentor or raw model to Legoshi... someone he can look up to. He has a certain respect for him and is very protective, too. But this is more a "he's my boss" relationship. ^^
I think the original plan works best in many ways.

I can already guess... but hush, no spoilers!! XD
Also, I ordered the manga already.
There are only 5 issues available in Germany... so... the German version of the manga takes place when Legoshi is about to enter the "lion's lair", hehehehe.
Good, that the anime is faster and the 1st season is already finished. The books are slower in our case!
^^"
BUT it's OK I collect good mangas, anyway.
