My biology teacher, who has taught me so much, been really supportive of me, and made me realize that I want to go to university to study biology (and kept encouraging me, telling me that of course I can do it), and who is an incredibly intelligent man, knows just about everything worth knowing about animals.
We tend to end up discussing all sorts of stuff for hours on end, and the other day we started talking about books, and endangered species, and books about endangered species. I mentioned "Last Chance to See" by Douglas Adams and Mark Carwardine, and the kakapo.
Torben had never heard of the kakapo. Whaaaat. So of course, I had to show him this video. He was highly amused.
Anyway, I really wanted to paint something for him, as a thank you for everything he's done for me.
I graduated today, and gave it to him before leaving.
He loved it. :)
