
I can't wait to be around a better scanner. This piece glows in person. If you have canary yellow, poppy red, and crimson red Prismacolor pencils, layer them in that order and that is what the over all color on the dragon is supposed to be. Not this pukey flat orange.
This piece was a lot of experimentation. I recently picked up the Colored Pencil Painting Bible by Alyona Nickelson. Her methods are very similar to mine, only taken a step further in many areas and she offers a lot of spectacular practical advice for colored pencils, both in technique and tool use. Her method for rendering fire worked great! Very glowy.
