Personality: Mammon is a whiny, pessimistic thing that always has a servant (or unwilling worker) on hand to inhabit as a body. The being itself is nothing but a purple mist usually, and since it has no body on its own, it is compelled to always be seeking the perfect body--a futile task. The bodies that it possesses never last more than three days, however, as inevitably it will always see a servant that it believes to have a much better body than the one it currently inhabits and will become so overcome with envy that it will exit its body and enter that one. The body left behind is usually fine, other than a headache and a persistent lavender smell for three days afterwards. It is never, ever happy, and it frequently expresses great depressive sorrow that it can never find the truly perfect body to anyone willing to listen. It’s the boss of the Envy circle of Hell despite these problems, but it’s the kind of boss that is never happy with anything you do other than a ‘good work’ rarely...and none of the managers really like him. There are rumors that it and Sonneillon, the master of the Wrath circle, are/were once related.
