As always it's fun drawing dinosaurs, just had some trouble making his hammer look right xD

That and there's an upper limit of effectivness on weapons for certain roles. Hammers work best at a certain length, weight and head size, any larger and they just become pointlessly heavy no matter how much super strength you have.

This one of my large collection of weapons. It's only for "big" battles against a really large and heavy monsters.
And no, hammer is not so heavy. For Ethan it's like a stick with the wood in the end.
Against humans he uses fists - Brown is very dexterous despite the size of the Raptor's form. Or rarely catana.

Being strong doesn't make a weapon feel light, it just means you can lift it easily. And if the monster you're fighting is big, then blunt force trauma is specifically what they'll resist the best.
Now a lance or spear, there's your monster slaying weapon, pierce straight to the heart, or spine or brain. At the very least the Hammer needs a big, meaty spike for skull puncturing.
