Wow, they are not kidding when they said it was hard to stick with your resolutions. I vowed to never give up drawing back in January this year...

...and haven't started drawing again until last week with this image. And even then, it took me all week to get this far. Still, I'm pretty proud of this one, as I learned a lot of what to do and what not to do, like how my smaller gems came out cleaner than the large one i drew first. I REALLY don't want to give up drawing, especially since I'm getting closer to drawing a full body one day...

I wanted to finally give drawing hair a shot, and I love the Egyptian style bob cut, so I decided to try drawing a random, one off, buxom gal with that haircut. And if you know me, I love ostentatious jewelry, so I wanted to give her a gigantic necklace, but settle for big gems held by a gold band since I was still learning. I hope later on my jewelry designs will be more glamorous and expensive looking! In hindsight, I might have gotten a little overboard with the lips, or at least it's color, since I don't think it fits her tan skin very well...but overall, I'm really happy with how this came out, even if the lines are little messy...
