Esta es mi primera pintura elaborada del año. Inspirado por las bellísimas e inspiradoras montañas de Borikén, y por una observación que llegué respecto a mi vida (eso lo diré más alante), se me ocurrió pintar esta escena.

Cuando tenemos lluvias intensas, como las que vienen por los frentes fríos en ambiente tropical húmedo, las montañas de Borikén se ven algo así: oscuras, majestuosas, nebulosas y solemnes; perfectas para la meditación.

En el aspecto técnico, aquí experimenté con usar iluminaciones desde atrás, al igual que efectos translúcidos y paleta de colores no neutral (en el sentido de que los colores están matizados por el ambiente).

Tiempo de trabajo: ca. 5:30 horas, con pintura acrílica

This is my first elaborate painting this year. Being inspired by the epicly beautiful & inspiring mountains of Borikén; as well as getting to a rather important observation about my life (more on that later), I decided to paint this scene.

When we get intense rains here, like the ones due to cold fronts in humid tropical areas, the mountains of Borikén would look like this: gorgeous, majestic, foggy & sublime; perfect for meditation.

Regarding the technical aspect, I experimented with illumination from behind, translucent colors & a non-neutral palette (meaning the base colors are being modified by the scene's environment).

Time spent making this: ca. 5:30 hours, with acrylic paint
