Inspired by the works of a fellow FA artist and NAF contribber named Lee Madison, (Artraccoon.) I finally came up with a ship design for my character Ambassador Whilkes. The "Rosante" is a comparitively small, warp capible starship which can also travel through a planet's atmosphere to land in "Standard" Ground Spaceports. Although the ship's outward appearance seems benign, the vessel has retractable weaponry and can pack a whollop against most attackers. The Rosante relies more on it's speed to avoid confrontations though.
Pulling into one of the docking ports at the station orbiting the moon-planet that the little Fennic people called "Th'alenderi" inhabit, the Rosante has retracted it "Sails," and extended it's bumper for a soft landing. There's a common joke among the Ambassadors that this "Bumper" is actually a big "Eraser" used for eradicating the Ambassadorial "Mistakes."

So buy liquid (or gaseous) methane instead, get a chemical cracker to separate out the carbon and extract the hydrogen, and a cryocompressor to reliquify it. Costs a pretty penny at first, but more than makes up for it in the long run.
But seriously, I have heard, earlier in the decade, of some experimental fuel cell technologies that can run on gasoline, using a multi-stage approach; one of the first stages was meant to remove the hydrogen from the hydrocarbon fuel, for use in a standard H2 fuel cell.
