whoo! this is taking for-ever. :D but I am proud of it, so far.

I'd say about 10 hours? see if you can find all the weird layer-mixups where I haven't been ready to erase/shift things around! :D also lighting isn't adjusted for some things, and shadows are missing, and lanterns are still in the works and half the sakura tree isn't fully rendered. :D

oh, and the three furs that are the focus of the piece haven't been sketched yet. tee hee!

this whole piece has been a big mess of a back-and-forth between photoshop and sai. not just photoshop for touchups, but for painting the grass, lanterns, and many other bits, but sai for big color blobs. i just can't seem to get photoshop to make big areas like the sky/ocean to look good, weirdly. :D

it reminds me of artwork from my lady lovelylocks books when i was a kid, so i like it. :3
