Rock type Pokemon do have a weakness against plant types, so there would be a natural weakness against vines and the rocky shell does only cover his torso so even if he does have scales they won't offer nearly as much protection. With this being the Giggle Meadow I would imagine that Pokemon of all types have fallen victim and the vines are expert at finding the weakest spots of their victims and with Golems that would naturally be the soles of the feet and under the arms.
I wonder though whether under the stony carapace whether Golems might be fleshy and if it would be possible if there's any small gaps where the limbs and neck emerge that a vine could slip through and perhaps tease his torso.
