This is my homebrew tube amp. Just finished soldering in my new Kimber coupling capacitors. The way they change the sound of the amp is amazing. Its not an "Audiophile" amp, it just makes music.

Yup, its a very simple amp. Makes about 10 watts

it dosent look like 6v6gt, the sockets are too small. they would be almost twice the size of the 12ax7 pre amp socket.

Oh, you're right. I didn't remember how this tube looks like. Now that I've googled it, it's pretty clear.

5u4 rect, 6dj8 dual triode, one half as a phase spliter and the other as a driver. The outputs are my favorite push pull tube, the 6bq5 or EL84

yup. gonna try a single ended design next. Ive got an old siemans 1026 broadcast tube that would be good for about 500W in class A mode

Yes you can, almost every US house has 240V available - Air Conditioner, clothes dryer, stove & oven, water heater...

Ask a local electrician, there's usually an inexpensive way to hook up to it.
