I know we have very few bugs in our midst in the fandom, but damnit all if they aren't fun to draw anyway! And they're cool, too.

Rant over, this guy was for a contest over on dA to show the Insect Sub-kingdom some anthropomorphic love. He is a Nivvix, as it was decided they (as a race) be called overall, and my specific division of Mantid is a Mantissian. An assassin. Loyal to the King, they are the deadliest of his swarm.

They say that, if you have committed treason against the Kingdom, their shadowed assassins will visit you in the night. A Mantissian blade will be your last sensation, and its owner your final sight...
