So, uhm, my attempt. Not sure how happy I am with it, just yet.
Khadrin are, for the most part, humanoid. They have an expanded thorax which serves as a torso, an atrophied abdomen, a pair of moth-like wings, and an arrangement of six limbs, with two being legs and four being arms. The majority of their body is soft and fleshy and ranges in colouration on an individual basis from creamy to dark red, but several regions (their back, shins, forearms, and waist, as well as a few other, smaller regions such as the backs of their hands) are covered in an exoskeleton, which is almost invariably red, black or dark grey.
Their heads are humanoid and mostly smooth and expressive except for a cowl of shell. Their eyes are large and shiny, and in place of ears they have feathery fans that act as antennae.
Khadrin females have functional "mammaries" that produce a honeydew-like substance to feed their children with.
Khadrin are also a primarily female species, with semi-Parthenogenic reproductive habits. Females may lay a viable egg without mating with a male, and the offspring will (nearly, there are "aberrations") always be female and genetically diverse from the mother, while the offspring of matings with a male always produce a male offspring. In the first case, the mother must still "mate" (pseudocopulation) with another subject to trigger the reproductive systems.
Overall, Khadrin weigh very little. They are lightweight so as to be able to fly, and even then they tend to careen around with little control.
