Pain.
It was all Maul could concentrate on as his headache worsened with each step he took.
These thundering headaches had always plagued him but with each passing year they've grown more detrimental.
Even now he struggled with nausea caused by the growing torment.
[You should really speak to mother about these headaches,] came Diedrick's soft voice filled with worry. [Mother always knows how to make them go away.]
They’d always dealt with these intense headaches and Namlag was always there to soothe the pain with a Hexan healing mix.
At the suggestion, Maul bared his fangs and snarled,
“Always such a coward, Diedrick. Running to Mommy dearest whenever there is even the slightest issue.
If you weren't so weak, you’d be able to go to her yourself!"
In a rare moment, his mind was silent.
No nagging conscious telling him what to do.
It was glorious!
He would have taunted the other but another wave of pain ripped through his head.
Unexpectedly, the nausea he’d been fighting won and hot vomit spewed from his mouth.
His lungs heaving into his throat as he legs nearly buckling under him at the initial lurch.
His large body shook violently with each heave and soon he could hardly get a breath before another wave hit.
It was as if fire filled his belly.
Vomit soon turned into bile as his stomach emptied its containment.
It wasn't much longer before he was just dry heaving into the grass; sickness tainting the surrounding air.
It felt like an eternity before his stomach quieted but he would have no peace as the pain redouble within his skull.
His thick claws dug into the sides of his head in an attempt to stop the intensifying pain.
Roaring with rage, he tore through the forest; jaws snapping at anything that had the misfortune of being in his sites.
Suddenly, he felt an aggressive pull on his mind and his legs gave out beneath him without his consent; his large body was sent tumbling over itself due to his previous speed.
