Yay, all finished! Had to wait a couple of days for the glue to dry before I could scan it. Don't you just hate that? I ended up spreading the glue around on the leaves around the stones, so the leaves have a bit of extra texture. Doesn't show up very well here, but it's a neat effect in person, and I'll probably play with it some more. ...Super-viscous gel medium. I need to see if I have any of that laying around...
The jungly background was originally going to be used as part of the project that included Expressions of Light 12 & 14, but many years have passed since the original inspiration and sketching (that was way back in 2011). I decided to use it in a completely different way, and ended up cutting parts of the original jungle away in order to make the layering look the way I wanted. The dragon is a very recent design, drawn just a couple of months ago, and colored a couple of weeks ago.
I used lots of different things here. Most of the color work on the dragon and the jungle was done with Prismacolor Premier pencils. I added gel and paint pen detailing to the dragon to make it shimmer in the light.
The baseboard is watercolor and iridescent acrylic. There are rhinestones scattered on the top part, and black glitter with black (dyed) agates on the bottom.
The things surrounding the dragon's head are amethyst, pale amazonite, rose quartz, and the large shiny thing near his hand is a Fuze-glass bauble.
