After seven years of using laptop, finally a new gaming PC is in my property! First thing I bought was Red Dead Redemption 2, and still after about 100 hrs of gameplay I am totally stunned. With all its flaws it is nothing less then a masterpiece, an emmersive, epic tale of great beauty and poetry. The times of the Frontier was laways a fascinating epoque, the "late Western" even more because I have a favour for the melancholic, irreversible downfall of ideals.
Inspired by that game, this is a design of "my" customized guns. In my country we are not allowed to own them, so this is nothing more then a dream. So, the ingame Schofield is based off the Smith & Wesson Model 3. It was colloquially called the Schofield because of design changes made by Major George W. Schofield to make it better suited for use by US Cavalry. The catalogue states that the Russian Government is copying this weapon. This is a reference to the Smith and Wesson Model 3 Russian, a Russian model of the Model 3 Schofield chambered in .44 Russian.
My customized pair of revolvers are made of high polished steel with silver inlays. The grip consists of dark ebony with a Mexican styled inlay of a Catholic cruzifix on both sides. The inscription of one gun says "Deus Vult" (It is God's will), the other "Vae Victis" (Woe the Defeated). The spin and the visor have been enhanced by the gunsmith of Saint Denis.
