Leanne couldn't explain to anyone why she felt compelled to buy a round stone disc from the thrift shop that day. It was hard and very heavy, but for some reason she felt the need to have it. Maybe it was just her impulsive nature? No, something was calling out to her to buy that disc, and at the very least it would make for a nice mantle piece.

Upon arriving at home, she placed the stone disc on the dining room table and proceeded to wash and shine it, making its dull surface look just a little bit less dull. There were various symbols on the surface of the disc, though she couldn't understand any of them. They looked like Japanese, or something. Maybe she could translate them later on.

She was about leave for another room when suddenly she felt like something was pulling her back towards the stone disc. Confused, Leanne turned back around to stare at it, confused as to why she felt that strange feeling. That was when a voice popped into her head.

"Ahh... I see. So you are the chosen one to be the vessel for my new body..." While Leanne jumped, completely startled, the feminine voice was kind and comforting, with a hint of playfulness and snark.

"Who's there?!" Leanne yelled, afraid that someone might have broken into her house.

"Hush, child. It is I, the goddess Amaterasu, calling to you from this Divine Instrument." the voice responded telepathically. "I have been waiting, trapped in this object for many many years, waiting for someone worthy to come and awaken me. And now, you have appeared! Stay still, this won't hurt a bit..."

"What is this crap?! I'm losing my mind!" Leanne said, slightly panicked as she turned around to run out of the dining room. But before she could go far, the Divine Instrument suddenly floated up in the air and quickly attached itself to Leanne's back. Unfortunately, Leanne was turned away from the Instrument, so she was caught completely unaware.

"Aah! Get off!" she exclaimed, holding onto a doorframe for some support. That's when she felt a warm tingling sweeping up and down her body, as pure white fur started to grow on her legs and chest.

"Shh, do not panic. Your body needs a little adjusting for a goddess such as myself. You should be thanking me! I am elevating you to a higher plane of existence!" Amaterasu said, and Leanne could almost hear her smirk.

A tail grew out of Leanne's spine, furry and long. Spiral tufts of fur also grew in various places on her body, such as at her knees and elbows, and especially her shoulders. Quickly, Leanne removed all her clothes save for her pink panties which she kept on.

"This is crazy... this is crazy! I'm... what are you?!" Leanne shouted as her bones cracked, and it became harder to stay on two feet. Her feet already turned into lupine paws, covered in white fur and feeling powerful.

"I am a goddess, the goddess of the sun." Amaterasu replied, "Now hold still, we're almost done..."

"That doesn't answer my quest... quest... aaaoow!!" Leanne yelped, feeling her face push out and crack and form a wolf muzzle. Her ears perked up and became pointed, moving to the top of her head while her long brown hair started to fall off her head in clumps, replaced by white fur.

That's when the Divine Instrument attached to her back lit up, colored orange and yellow by the powerful flames that engulfed it. However, it didn't hurt the goddess at all.

"I would like you to take a back seat for some time, human." Amaterasu said now using Leanne's mouth, taking over more. Meanwhile, Leanne's house slowly faded away to reveal the outdoors. Green pastures, tall mountains, and a blue coast. "Japan needs the sun goddess once again!"

Leanne tried to say something but found herself unable to control her body anymore. Her body was now that of a wolf, with red markings along her body and also thick outlines that looked like something out of an Asian painting. Seeing no way out of this (and also seeing as her home had vanished), Leanne gave up and let Amaterasu have full control.

"Ahh, it's been too long since I've had my body again." Amaterasu sighed contently. And with a loud howl, the sun goddess let the world know of her return, the sun appearing from beyond the clouds overhead.
