A strange four-armed child left on the doorstep of an ancient temple, Raziel grew up in the care of the priests and priestesses where they worked on reviving the temple to it's former glory- an ancient cistern built in dedication to a deity of Life known as the Wellspring. Raziel, as a young initiate, grew up drawing in pilgrims and tourists, entertaining them, and offering healing services to the needy. The restoration is slow to progress however, and the frustration and exhaustion of the clergy behind closed doors is understandable.

Local mythos tells however that the Wellspring could be restored to full vitality by finding an idol that once decorated the center altar. Then the holy energy would be renewed and the temple would be whole again. While the priests focus on polishing the tile and reassembling shattered mosaics, Raziel became determined to find this idol and bring it back home. Forbidden to leave due to faer naivete and inexperience, Raz choses instead to sneak out while the rest are unawares and strike out on faer own.
