I recently discovered there was a meme going around Japanese Twitter based on Amabie, a mermaid-like yokai with three legs. According to the legend, if you catch a disease and you look at an image of Amabie, you will be cured. So, to spread good feelings around during this pandemic, Japanese artists have been drawing Amabie. And I thought I'd do the same, and I decided to make my pic a parody of a poster for the movie "Amélie".
