Poor Hunter Perez was only trying to enjoy a relaxing vacation with his boyfriend. They both wanted somewhere quiet and away from the rest of the world and so they went camping. The intent was to have time to themselves and perhaps make certain "proposals" to each other. They never would have expected to be target for an alien abduction.

Hunter never knew what became of his love, likely killed by the alien's experiments, but he himself was turned into something far worse. After being injected with experimental nanites Hunter suddenly became possessed by them and became what was dubbed "the Devastator"; a living weapon that could turn the host into a super strong monstrosity that could also mimic natural abilities of others. (The limits being one at a time however.)

What happened next was all a blur. Either he was sent back, escaped, or simply let go by the alien abductors. Regardless Hunter found himself back on Earth and wandering near Saturn City, where things would only grow worse for the poor pup.
