I really liked your work in general, and I find the resolution of the story to be satisfying. One thing bothers me though: it's the fact that what happened with Colt and his friends is a bit disappointing. Honestly, I find their character development to be superficial because of how they became so self-centered amidst Colt's identity crisis.

The story is still great and a touch more realistic than the ones I've read before, and I hope that you continue making these pieces in the near future.

I’m glad you like the stories! This one was a good one to write because it had a few personal experiences in there.

And while I agree the friends became shut off and self centered, I wanted to convey what does happen to so many. That the ones they feel close with abandon them in moments they need them most. Whether for personal reasons or for a public facade. It also helped convey that feeling of being alone and abandonment for Colt.
