I was part of one of the submissions for the 48 Hour Film project. You get one weekend to write, shoot and edit a movie. I was the editor/sound recordist for our team. This is the portable edit rig i whipped up for the job. I am testing the video monitor playback with lolpics :}

Cool, man! Our film challenge is the 26th until that Monday morning (with red carpet event at 8pm that evening after judges get a hold of it all day for viewing). I am editing on the road with a Dell too - Studio 17, 2.5 Ghz Duo Core: runs CS4 Premiere and Aftereffects smoothly in NTSC, but a little rough in 1080p. We were thinking of shooting with the 1080p Panasonic camera we have since it is tapeless and we don't need to fool with the tapes on the road but 1080p is so much slower to edit we might go NTSC 4:3 instead with the other cams. I hope we manage to get Action or Horror for the genre. We are all stoked for it this year. :)
