A once green leaf full of life has broken away from the heights of the trees. No longer does it bask in the radiance of the sun that has since fallen. Faded is its color, dry is its texture, fragile and anything but resistant to the wind that begins to move it in motion towards its afterlife. Letting go of the ground it takes flight, helplessly twirling twisting and fluttering in the grips of this breeze turned gust. Forced into a rock and a hard place, it finds the final destination. All of what it once was dissolves into the ground, giving life back to the tree that let it go so long ago. A cold winter now faded, a warm spring now bloom, a green leaf is reborn into the collage of a simple life.

A lil bit about this piece. This sound it just came to me, a feeling of being lost but in motion shot through me. I picked up the old violin and let it sing. An hour into it or so I tried to write out the sheet music but I decided to just run with it after hitting record. I do plan on retouching this as its truly a rough draft but a song I'd like to keep. Sorry about that scratch ring lol.. hope you enjoy the feeling in this Violin Solo that I call "Lost Leaf".
