This is the first halloween card i ever made :} First partial fursuit too.
but this is Paak. I based him off of some dinosaur-age birds like gastornis and company. Originally I was going to build something far more complicated, like a movie prop, but figured I'd go econo and build something for a fraction of the time and cost. I'm not super charismatic a fursuiter anyway, and effects only contribute to the performance, not make it.
The whole Paak rig can be fit in two bags and carried around via moto or, for flying Paak fits in a Pelican (case! lol). "Design" and construction took about a month (including the latex stuff which went unused) and culminated in a photo finish for MFM 13.
First suit and all, I thought it would be good to start with something not many people have seen, but fits alongside contemporary things ("birdieeeee!" -any kid). I don't know where the design came from, i'm normally not good at this stuff, I just tried to imagine a costume i'd like to see at a con :} The tail was the last thing designed and the first thing built, basically an afterthought when i figured i needed something besides the head and hands. I also made a bunch of plastic eggs to use as props ("I laid them myself!"). So in this project the egg came before the chicken.

by the way, taking pictures of yourself in suit is tricky business lol. the bbq is real meat.
