This would be a long description of the picture, so I'll cut it up just a bit.
Her name is Paloma, she's a purebred Siberian Husky that has all-white fur and bright sky blue eyes. Though, she looks a bit golden, but that's only because she loves to roll around in the dirt. Adopted her from my grandparents early January and the reason I did was because she had been abused somehow. My grandparents are not evil, they would not have done that but the people they got her from may have done it. The first time I met her she was scared, frightened, and even submissive beyond belief for a dog. Having grown up with female dogs my early life, it's easy for me to connect and feel the emotions of them. Male dogs are just like, I have no idea what the hell they're thinking about.
But the thing is, it took me not even a second when I looked into her eyes to know she's been abused. I just could not live with myself if I let her get hurt somewhere else since in this world whether animal or another human being, people take advantage of one another. So I got her from my grandparents, and since then have trying to bond with her and show her not all people are bad. By the third week of owning her, she had changed so much. She went from hiding her tail between her legs, ears down, and looking at the ground to ears perked up, a happy and wagging tail and smile, and the excitement of a dog that had missed you.
Now, she won't leave my side or least lose sight of me, comes to me when I call her and just generally keeps to me. For a dog that went from not wanting anything to do with me or anyone, keeping their distance, to a dog that won't leave my sight and wants to stay near me in 2 months. That makes me smile and my heart melt. She's still a puppy too, Paloma is only just over a year old. So it's great that I'm able to let her enjoy life.
This is gonna become my profile ID soon... and damn FA has flipped the image, it is originally vertical rather than horizontal.
