Astrallopes are mysterious creatures that exist between dimensions. Some call them creatures of creation. They each have a clear, crystal-like shell down their front that displays their "essence". When they are fawns, this starts off as a fluid which is flowing and moving and changes its shape. However, as the astrallope grows, it crystalises into pearls or beads in a range of shapes as the astrallope discovers their purpose (whether that's bringing dreams, helping flowers grow, guarding precious objects or beings etc). The helmet that protects their one huge eye also grows and sprouts more impressive protrusions.
