02-24-20 [Kentucky Fantasy: Race Beetle]
Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at 8:30ish and pushed snooze on the alarm until about 9ish. I roused myself awake and grabbed a shower and shaved and got some nice clothes on and put on some cologne, then headed out. Mum was on the couch and was resting, and told me to be careful because it was raining...But I like rain!
I drove to Draffenville and stopped at Arby's, where I grabbed 2 chicken sliders and 2 buffalo chicken sliders with a large Conke. The gal in the window who took my order was super frandly and sweet to me! I took the food and parked on the other side of the building, where I ate while enjoying the rain. After I finished I drove via the back route to Paducah, calling grandma en route. She said not much was happening with her aside from waiting on a call from Mark, so I told her about what I was up to and she wished me luck!
When I got to Paducah I looked around for potential places to apply. I did apply at the hotel near the convention center, but they weren't really hiring for front desk...I still filled out an application anyway. From there I headed to an employment agency, where I spent much of the next few hours just filling out applications. Not exactly sure what that will help, given the fact I'd been doing as much over the last few months with little success...But at least I did it with nice clothes on.
Around 1 I decided to call it quits. When I left the building I went next door to a surveying place and asked if they were hiring, but nope...They probably get that a lot due to their proximity to the hiring agency. After that I decided my morale had been expended, so I headed to Walmart. When I parked I felt an itch in the pit of my right knee, and found that a tick had latched onto me. Hecc! First of the year!
I went inside and asked if they sold sphagnum moss (not in store), so I bought some shorts and some milk and left. I changed into shorts in the car, 'cause I didn't want pants on in case there were more ticks, then headed home via the highway. In Benton I stopped at Wendy's and got 3 Deluxe Junior Chsbrgrs, 2 of which I ate in the parking lot. I then headed home, enjoying the rain as I did. When I pulled into Southern Komfort I saw mum walking, so I stopped and told her she better get home 'cause of rain heading our way. She said she was almost finished, so I parked and walked up the hill to join her...And yep! We both got caught in the rain! I mean it had been raining a bit, but it began coming down harder.
We went inside, and I went downstairs and spent a lot of time putting in more applications online. I chatted with frands and bemoaned the sluggish response from employers, but they had me feel better. I think I spent about 2 hours submitting stuff, then edited about 15 pages on my novel (last edit! Wooo!). After I finished I went upstairs around 9:30ish and ate the 3rd burger I got, as well as 2 thin slices of pizza mum had made earlier and a few cookies and the rest of those Grippo's Chipos. I then headed back downstairs and took some time to do a commission for a frand. I was interrupted because I was playing some KoL and I helped a frand with a partial derivative problem (It was f'(x,y) = xln(x^2+y^2)^(1/2)), which was fun to solve! After I helped I finished the commission drawing and then watched some tubes and chatted with frands. I stayed up pretty late, and didn't wind up getting to bed until about 4 AM. Yikes!
I hope everyone has an employment agency in Paducah kinda day! <333
