This is my second balloon buddy, Shelly. ^u^ Shelly is a turtle, and is the smallest balloon animal I’ve made. While most balloon animals use at least one balloon to make, Shelly here is actually made of only 1/4 of a balloon! Because of this, she’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. :) She can be found hanging out with my other balloon buddy, Rex. Bit of an odd pair, but they get along just fine. :)
Shelly here was quite a challenge to make. To make a turtle this size, you have to actually pop or cut a little less than 3/4 of the balloon and tie it off a second time. I don’t like popping balloons, so I usually let that part deflate before cutting it, leaving just enough to tie the second knot. It’s an interesting trick, though. I might try seeing if I use it to make more mini balloon animals. :D
