sounds funny .. but many of them are just homeless or poor! x'D
Otherwise, these are individual preferences of the characters or a feature of their race ..
for example, Doran hates shoes, but also his feet are very strong due to the characteristics of his race.

I tend to be the same, most of my characters opt for it as they're the 'earthy natural' types.
