The Changing of Hands
This piece of work is actually part of my coursework for my art course in college. The purpose behind the pieces is to show change, whether it's turning an object into another, making the form larger/smaller than it's original, changing the colours etc.
I thought about what I can do. I thought what can change the most, and the answer came to me as people. People change constantly, whether by growing older, their attitudes on life, etc.
I took it a bit further and thought what is the most common form of change in a person, rather than their face, the size of the person. Then a thought popped into my head, "Actions speak louder than words". That made me think about hands, hands can show and empathise so many emotions. They also start off small, grow larger, then begin to wear away.
So I decided to base this line of coursework on hands. For this particular piece, all the hands were taken from secondry research (aka, a google image search)
Feel free to critique me and such, I decided to take this route to improve on hands too!

I've heard that too, when I was making this (along with my other pieces) I was adviced by my teacher not to draw hands!
When I was drawing this (and the others which I'll eventually post) I was constantly going back to the referances I had, trying to maike them as good as possible. It was hard but it started getting more easier as drew more.
That is untill my art teacher said I could take photos of his hands, then did really hard poses for me to draw! Haha
