maiza wanted a commission of his wallaby twins. Friti and Kazia. Giving me free reign to draw something up.And this immediately popped in mind. Cause well gee, EVERYBODY is just talking about the Winnie The Flu. And the twins are like everybody else, scrambling to secure vital supplies.

'They' don't appear to be hoarding, just trying to have/stock up on supplies - unlike the jokers wheeling out whole pallets of something.
And I'll admit I've used more cleaners in the last few weeks than I have in the last few years.
As for the gun oil and ammo? It'll get shot and the guns will need cleaning/oiling.
Oh, and if you really think this will be over in six weeks I have a bridge to sell you.

Plenty more bridges, even some that go somewhere.
They can't stop it, all they can do is try to slow it to something the hospitals might be able to handle. They're only testing those that seem to be sick, ignoring the minor fact that you can spread it for a week or more before showing any signs - and some people have it and show no signs at all.
Things might lighten up a little, but I have a feeling we haven't seen how bad it's going to get before it gets better (and the new better won't look at all like the before.)

I went to the grocery this morning (not my favorite task, nowadays in particular) to get some stuff for a stew my wife will make this weekend, Some areas were a little thin, but not like they were a week ago, and I got everything we needed. The TP shelves were still bare and I got to wondering just what are these morons doing with all at toilet paper, eating it? And then my warped mind decided that, if they were, they'd never have to wipe their butts again. LOL
Now I'm wondering how many people would buy something labelled "butt paper". XD I mean, they don't usually call it by the vernacular when selling it, yet no one who buys it calls it anything else.
I'd just be amused to see a package of "butt paper" in that bathroom tissue part of the store. =P
