This is the same for me. But it's with Cheese, Mint, TP, and Ground Beef... I normally get 80/20 ground beef from a store... I had to settle for 73/27 walmart ground beef x.x

I try to get the 80/20 too...but lately you gotta take whats there. :>(

In my case, instead of my usual 80/20, all I could get was 93/7, this morning, costing more.

Sometimes the 93/7 cooks up dry for me Rif. (not enough fat I guess) but it tastes great. =^.^=

IF there is anything to stock up ON. The shelves are stripped of some of the most peculiar tings, but things that keep...like canned goods are untouched. Go figure. =^.^=

Yeah I wonder what people are going to do with 150 rolls of toilet paper myself too. Its dying down a bit though. Still pretty scary outside since the bobbies are out looking for non-essential personnel hanging around outside in public.

Still I can agree with you. It sure doesn't feel right that Constables and Bobbies are stopping to check for permits to be out and about. That's a weee bit excessive IMO.

Like you Raynard, I live in your city (and yes I am from Vietnam). And I'm sure every country have ID cards. What I meant to clarify to AceBear is that many large companies provide employee badges but in this case, "essential" companies also provide letters to their employees stating that they are legally essential personnel. Pretty much thanks to COVID-19, the world is under a police state anyways. lol

I agree but these days, that's basically what's going around this world thanks to COVID-19.

I too use a lot of "Brit" in my conversation and correspondence Chuong. I started going to the UK, LONG before most people on FA where even born (1967) and have returned on vacation on average every other year....the lingo sneaks into your vocabulary....and there it stays !

Same in France : peoples fights for TPs , rice or pastas ; even taking it in carts .............. That's horrible to discover how humans are selfish in "united" states (whatever America or Europe)

Sad to hear. I can understand rice or pasta being in demand. That will keep for months.
I am embarased to say Americans are a "me first" population (generally speaking). There are a lot of people helping others out, but not as many as you would hope for.

I haven't the faintest idea what people are doing by storming the entire damned store for toilet paper, but it's a hot commodity even here.

Well, I can sort of understand the fear, I guess the panic buying may be because theres really nothing else people can actually do. It gives the illusion that they are doing "something". =^.^=

Good for you. I did the same two days ago. When I go to the store for something, I just check the paper row and bleach. So far no bleach but found 4 packs of TP, only took 1. Hang in there RL. =^.^=

That is SO thoughtful. Thanks for the offer....Actually we had a gallon jug of sanitizer before all this started, so we are in good shape there. We always keep a tray in the sink with dish soap, bleach and water to wash glasses and silverware (and hands) in.

Well, unlike other shoppers who stuff their carts with toilet paper and other things, I only get what I need for the next 1-2 weeks.

Us too Rose. What on earth would you even want 600 bottles of water and 200 rolls of TP ?!?

Especially when you don't use it that much? I usually buy a few vegetables, a large package of meat, some chips, milk, Cokes, and the occasional package of cookies.

The local grocers still have sections of shelves bare here. Have not been able to find Lysol spray in 7 months. =^.^=

They picks up all the TPs ................. Sh*t

They picks up all the rice and pastas ............ Sh*t

They picks up all the cheeses ............... Sh*t

They picks up all the meat ............. Sh*t

They lets the dark chocolate .................. YAY

As long as they leave the dark chocolate, I can live without the other stuff. Surprisingly it is sSTILL impossible to find any Lysol disinfectant . I have not seen a single can in over a year. Sometimes the stores do not have any bleach either. TP seems to be in good supply now.

One time I went to a store, the entire fruit and cereal shelves were empty.

It is interesting to see what the "trendy" panic buying items are from week to week. First it was TP, Then bleach, then fruits/veggies. Currently it seems to be pasta here in Houston. Cereal never seems to have caught on here.....yet.

As someone who works in the grocery occupation, this is totally true, but also runs a lot deeper than people realize.
