For my latest in this series of classic photos of yours truly
with other anthroartists, I offer the following pic, teaming me up with both Peter Stoller (a.k.a. Speet!)
and Joe Strike
During the 1980s and 1990s, I used to see these two members of "Rowrbrazzle" (the 'funny animal' APAzine) at monthly meetings held at the Polish Democratic Club in lower Manhattan (where Japanese anime and American cartoons were both screened). Who would've guessed that these two talented artists would go on to join "Fur Affinity", many years later?!
Anyway, this picture was taken following one of those aforementioned meetings in New York City, Circa the early 1990s (prior to my move from Elmont, NY to Reading, PA in 1992). You'll notice that I had a mustache (and my beard from the late 1980s was already shaved off).
The three of us posed in front of my car - a 1987 Volkswagen Golf - with my vanity license plate proudly displaying ARSMAGNA on it. It's Latin for 'great art' AND is an anagram for 'anagrams'! At the time of said photo, I was nearly finished with my first decade as a member of the National Puzzlers' League - where my specialty was creating anagrams for its members to solve (such as I OFFER 'OSCAR' HIT = "CHARIOTS OF FIRE" and GEE, AIN'T THAT HARPO? = "A NIGHT AT THE OPERA"). Although, the 'great art' reference could easily apply to my drawing abilities, too!
Flanked by Speet! on the left and Joe on the right, we each wore appropriate 'funny animal' T-shirts. Speet! wore his 'Red Shetland' shirt; I was sporting my 'Buffalo Wings' shirt; and Joe (the avid mephit aficionado that he is) had his classic 'Pepe Le Pew' tee on. Even back then, I'd enhanced my ensemble with a cap full of buttons of various 'funny animal characters' (a practice I still follow today, whenever I attend 'furry conventions')!
Be sure to watch for more 'photo-ops' of me with other anthroartists - past and present - in the near future!

Of course, Speet! and Joe Strike weren't the only attendees at those Polish Democratic Club meetings. Anthroartists (and future "FA" members)
Jay Shell and
Cougr - both from New Jersey - occasionally came to NYC for said meetings, too. Those New York states of mind are more vast than you can actually imagine!

You must've overlooked the sentence where I said that this photo was taken in the early 1990s. But yes, SpikeBlu, the 1980s were good times. Let's really see how good your memory is. Go to http://www.risingstarkaraoke.com/monday_test.html and take the test there.
