When Raven Stole the Moon- Promotional Poster
My thesis film for my graduation was based of North West Pacific Oral Tradition, without actually using any of the existing legends- which is taboo if you are not given permission to use.
I had returned from my residence in Vancouver to finish of my Bachelors. I had been conceptualizing this short animated film for 6 years prior, and it was polished to a T with the help of the Local Aboriginals out West- who really treated me well, and explained all the nuances of the "can dos" and "do nots". So much so that I had made several friends that put dibs on the actual animation sketches when they were done.
So part of the thesis project was to include a promotional package for the film. This was the promotional poster, and DVD cover.
The animated short times at just under 2 minutes- but was one of the actually completed ones of our grade.
The movie will be posted tomorrow.

So I snuck on over to your website and watched it because I just couldn't help myself and I gotta say... After watching it, I would LOVE to see that as a full length film (I know, wishful thinking but...). It's totally amazing! It's just enough of a story to get the watcher involved and the timing is so great. I love your concept, your art style, and your story idea here. Thanks so much for sharing it. :D
Yah, I figured some people would view it early- I wasn't against that at all! It's just a pity that FA doesn't have a movies category to submit non-flash work to. :)
I would love to MAKE a full length film.. but as you said yourself, the reality of that is slim. SO on to more shorts it is! Sometimes, a well saturated clear story is better at 2 min, then a long dreary empty one at 1hour 18 min. :)
