Hey guys, Nope I am not dead, I just preferred spending my free time playing videogame, watching TV series and do other stuff but, every once in a while I've dedicated some of my free time working on this picture. I really wanted to finish this sooner but I didn't really feel in the mood to complete this, I'm also going through an artblock lately which means that I'm currently out of ideas for new sketches even if I've already have more picture to digitalise.

In this drawing I tried to work on texture and highlights, in fact, I've drawn the clouds and the wooden floor with a different method and, to be honest, I really love how it came up. I also added some orange-ish highlights in order to make it look like it's late afternoon, just 30 minutes before the sunset.

Anyway, this guy over here is Jacob, a young and agile pirate that spends his life on board of Captain Jones' ship (which is another character of mine). He is quite of a loner and spends most of his time fishig, carving wood, chilling on his hammock and watching the horizon. He doesen't trust people easily, in fact, gaining his trust can be pretty hard.

Jacob does most of the manual work on the ship like carrying heavy objects, taking down the sails, providing food for the whole crew etc. He loves spending his life sailing, he considers it a neverending vacation.

I'm so proud of myself right now, I put a huge amount of time and effort on this and it was totally worth it. I really hope you guys like this as much as I do.
