Today I was doing some major spring cleaning. While weeding out stuff in my one of my two storage sheds I came across the very first drawing I did of Jerry Lee. This chipmunk is the oldest of my two principal fursona's I did this drawing way back in 1990 when I was in high school. Hell, I didn't even know what a furry was back then let alone what a fursona was. At the time I referred to him as my "main character".

Though by far outmatched by my current art skills this drawing still holds allot of meaning to me as this basically marks the trail head of a long journey that would lead me to the furry fandom and becoming a furry. More importantly its the very beginning of what would become the Chipmunk Kingdom, the world Tamias the Chipmunk lives in.

Jerry Began life as a fan character of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers but grew and evolved in just about every direction imaginable through his 20 year life. One direction was simple comedic skits. Another was "Chipworld", collection of cartoons I created using Mario Paint. When I went through my Image Comic phase Jerry became what is now refereed to as a "Muscle Fur". Heh imagine a 7 foot tall 350 lbs. armored anthropomorphic Chipmunk slugging it out with the bad guys. After I got tired of that I revamped Jerry again and placed him in a story line in which he was the guardian of what would become "The Chipmunk Kingdom".

After years of being the guardian of the Chipmunk Kingdom I placed Jerry in retirement. I did so by writing an epic story in which he sacrificed his life to insure his arch enemy was destroyed by the "Sun's Wrath" thus saving the Chipmunk Kingdom and the world from being plunged into Eternal Darkness.

After around 5 years in Hiatus, I have recently revived Jerry Lee as a support character of Tamias the Chipmunk, my current fursona. Storyline wise I'm still dialing in his roll. All in all, Jerry is the starting point for me when it comes to being a furry as well as for the Chipmunk Kingdom. Even Tamias as vastly different as he is from Jerry owes his existence to this chipmunk and this drawing of him.

ON that note. I think it would be very interesting for any of you out there to find and post the first drawings of your fursona or atleast the oldest drawing you can get your hands on. I think you will be surprised on how much meaning the drawing may have to you while being amazed at how much your fursona has changed between then and now.
