Lapine and Lièvre - Gameboyred
*THERE IS A STORY BELOW THE DESCRIPTION*
We continue the surprising new additions to my OC roster as I kept on throwing themes (and cash) toward a pretty skilled designer, the harem theme continuing with the wonders of stage magician and bunny girls added to the mix with Lapine and Lièvre, two performers. All courtesy of Gameboyred.
The idea of bunny girls is nothing new as they're possibly some of the more popular forms of anthro/furries characters one can find. They're pretty well-known as the ears, the little fluffy/bushy tail and of course the cheesecake factor (thank you Playboy) are all pretty big factors in this. With bunnies also rather linked to the magic hat trick, I wanted a little something referring that and Gameboyred delivered on that front. ;)
I wanted a more comedic/funny duo without sacrificing the cheesecake and I went for a relationship between those two which emphasized the performing aspect, but also went with some puns and light entertainment too with their story...by also making them central but not the point-of-view. You'll see when you read the story. ;)

HARE-ABIAN NIGHTS
Harold wasn't really feeling it for a magic show.
It was his fourth shift in two days, needing the extra money to pay back his debts as his job as a security guard in this grand luxurious mixture of casino, hotel, amusement park, recreation hall and soon-to-be museum was unfortunately not paying very well...and was way too short-staffed. Mandatory double-shifts, a practice he knew was illegal and yet was unfortunately necessary for him, were common as this time he was placed as the sole guard for a magic show which was supposed to be great fun for the whole family, a duo which was supposedly famous, yet which he had never heard of in his whole life.
Lièvre and Lapine, the bunnies of bonne fortune.
This was a French way of saying “good luck” apparently as he was supposed to see to it that everything happens smoothly. No pick-pocketing, no crude behavior, nothing dangerous for both the performers and the spectators. He was all alone, though, so he just needed to make sure that he was intimidating enough as if there was actual trouble...he wouldn't be enough. Combined with a low amount of sleep, plenty of stress and this was not actually the best kind of gig even though he did somewhat get a free show out of it. People went on to sit down, chatting it up for a little while until the chatter died down when the light began to make itself scarce, an indicative that the spectacle would soon begin. Then, something peculiar happened as Harold was expecting something like a girl with fake bunny ears, perhaps some makeup and yet she seemed like a bonafide bunny girl due to her detailed those ears were and how they also moved, with the tail too...Though her fishnets leggings, tight ensemble and cleavage those he expected. “Family fun” meant it was nice for everyone, with some parents decidedly not going for the same entertainment as kids. The bunny girl went on stage, bowed and then took the microphone, keeping her hat on by holding it in place with one hand. “Dang, that's some good makeup...Real good in fact...Didn't know the boss went for kinda-furries, though,” he said, going beside the door so as to block it at first in order to not let any teenagers try to sneak in for a free representation.
“Greetings everyone...I am Lièvre, that's French for hare, and welcome to the bunnies of bonne fortune. We're here to bring you some luck and some cheers...as well as some magic in your life!” she said with a rather happy and bouncy expression, her long wavy hair hiding one of her eye as the star and heart spots on both of her cheeks were enhanced with glitter. She looked around and bounced on stage a little, making a higher part of herself bounce in response to the delight of many as she then made a playful frown. “But wait a minute...This is a duo...Where's Lapine?”
She looked around, one hand above her eyes as if trying to look at a distance for her partner, going for perhaps a too comical tone for the kids. It was that cheesy kind of show as Harold sighed, thinking this would be a rather long 90 minutes as eventually Lièvre slapped her head as if she had the answer all along, sticking her tongue out in embarrassment. “Oh silly me...She's in there!” she said, showing off her hat before the audience, taking a little moment to show that it was indeed empty. The thing that Harold noticed, though, were those ears as they were indisputably real, bouncing and fluffing around in a way that either could be reproduced by animatronics...or because it was the real deal. Magic, however, was illusion and thus he calmed himself down, trying to be as professional as some with four hours of sleep could be in these trying circumstances. Then, the bunny girl went on to put her hand inside the hat, with Harold fully expecting Lapine to just be a little pet that went along with the chosen theme, but his surprise was rather high when what came out was another bunny girl, one with a belly dancer costume of all things. “You took your sweet time...Where you busy eating carrot cake in Hare-Abia?”
While a few kids laughed, Harold joined a few others in observing the harem-clad bunny girl, one with short hair which unfortunately hid her eyes as she pouted, herself still half inside the hat as her thighs, which were rather thick, seemed to struggle to get out of the piece of headwear. She had large coins earrings on those bouncing ears atop her head, a little fluffy tail on top of her rather generous butt, harem pants, coins and jewelry spread a little everywhere as Harold felt rather conflicted about it. On one hand she was stupid gorgeous, kinda like her partner in a way...but they were bunnies...Or looked like them? And how did she manage to get out of the hat? He had to admit that had been a good trick and perhaps it might not be so dull after all...although his job was to watch over the spectators, not the bunny-themed eye-candy.
“I was waiting a long time for you to get me out of there, Lièvre...” the aforementioned Lapine said, crossing her arms as she looked down on her partner which was smiling awkwardly, laying it on perhaps a bit thick. “It gets rather hot inside your hat, as you know.”
“Not as hot as you...” Lièvre said with a feinted whisper, winking at the audience before she resumed her presentation. “Now now...let's get back on track. Allow me to present my partner Lapine, my assistant in this whole show, one which will warm your heart and awe your mind along with me for prestidigitation...With the power of magic!”
And then his job would really start as there would always be some people who'd try things, like sneaking alcohol or home-brought food. The former he could understand it being rather stupid, but the latter Harold could really sympathize with as the prices in here for snacks, bite-sized as they were, were simply atrocious. However, the boss was adamant about this as if there was one thing Mr. Trisotto was exceptionally focused about, it was money, notably in how much and often he could make some. Patrolling around the tables, trying not to get in the way of the show, Harold nevertheless caught a glimpse of it at times, with the two bunny girls going for classics like the saw trick, with Lapine being in the box as she was cut in half...only for her lower half to go away slowly “because she held it in long enough and she had to go to the bathroom”. The comedy bit was perhaps a bit cringy, but there was a good basis in it worth a few laughs, with Lapine being deadpan serious and Lièvre trying to keep it all in order for disastrous results. There was indeed some fun to it, though he did miss a few things because of one spectator trying to light up a cigarette or someone drinking from an hidden bottle of whiskey, the cheap stuff at that. The time passed by rather quickly, all things considered, with the rest of his shift being put on the casino ground, yet there was one last little number as Lièvre chased away all those doves which kept on pouring out of her hat, removing some feathers away as Lapine used a broom for that.
“Alright, so we're almost done with the show...Thank you by the way, you were an amazing audience...But we do have one more trick up our sleeve, figuratively speaking, with a final and classic number: hypnosis!” Lièvre said with light enthusiasm as she took out a pocket watch attached to a chain from her hat, showing off to the spectators. “So of course we'll need someone from the crowd to get up there...And it'll be...you!”
Lièvre pointed her finger in his general direction as a spotlight when on to essentially bask Harold in pure light, singling him out from the whole ensemble in the room as he frowned. He had a job to do, security to maintain, he couldn't just go on and pretend to be put under for their sake. As he was about to protest, however, Lapine was right beside him, putting her arm around his to escort him toward the stage. “Don't worry, we got Mr. Trisotto's permission for this. He told us to use the staff for that number,” Lapine said, her voice low and as he looked down at her, Harold found at least some consolation in the fact that he was very much near a bunny beauty dressed like a belly dancer.
“Thank you sir...I would ask for your name, but you do have a name-tag...So, Harold...Did you like what you've seen of the show...or what you managed to sneak a peek of anyway?” Lièvre said with a smirk and a wink, essentially saying that he was not entirely focused on his job in front of everyone. “I kid, I kid of course. You look strong, respectable even, devoted...and so to put him at ease I want you all to promise to behave while he's being put under, okay? Surveillance is a very rough job and I'm sure he could use the respite...So I'll give him something really enjoyable to look at! Lapine...if you please~”
Placed on a seat, the audience on his right side and the closed red curtains on the other, Lapine would be the one to hypnotize him apparently as she took the pocket watch and let it dangle in front of her belly and hips, centered right on her belly button. Harold sighed internally, being rather taken aback by his boss allowing for this to happen, yet then again he never really valued the personnel. It wouldn't even surprise him that he even chose him personally for this just so he might not get sued, the clauses in Harold's contracts being so loose in terms of sense that he could get away with quite a lot. Now he'd just need to play along, pretend to be hypnotized as he looked at the watch, at the minute and hour hands moving at their own normal rhythm...until they went on to go much faster, creating a black and white spiral as then Lapine went on to swing it left and right, a back and forth motion started with the simplest motion of her wrist.
“Yes, Harold. Just look at the watch, let it sway back and forth before your eyes, just look at it and focus on its motions, on how steady and even it all is...But to ease you and for being such a good sport, something else will start to sway for you~” Lièvre said, herself managing the more vocal part of the induction as Lapine began to sway her hips, going in the opposite direction of the watch, right and left, creating a twin pendulum as she moved to the exact same rhythm and speed as the pocket watch which swung left and right...left and right...left and right...”Seeing a pretty girl dance for you like this must be really fun, yes? It's just so pretty and so easy to follow, like the sound of my voice...But I feel like the audience might get bored by just watching someone else have all the fun...So I'll make sure you can all be entertained too~”
The curtains behind the two went on to open, revealing a very large screen which was a capture of the exact same kind of view that Harold was subjected to, the black and white spiral of the watch being matched by those large and enticing hips. Lapine's navel was often hidden by the pocket watch for half a second, yet it was easily the second most hypnotic thing, perhaps even at the same level, as the pocket watch. It felt that way for Harold as he soon really got into it, those hips really highlighting the pocket watch while the reverse was also true. Left and right...Right and left...Left and right...Two motions easy to follow, black and white against a sexy background of exotic delight. He half-listened already, feeling himself get a little more slack, his focus gaining in clarity only when he stared at the twin set of mesmerism before his eyes. It felt as if he hadn't blinked in a while...and that he didn't want to.
“Yes, let us carry ourselves to a wonderful place, a little dream which my partner likes very much, one which you'll soon grow to love as well...The Hare-abian Nights~” Lièvre went on to describe, her voice turning a little more mellow, a touch more suave as the sound of music played in the background. Drums, sitars, oud, flutes, a real Middle-Eastern medley which was slow and delicate, acting as the perfect backdrop for this little number. Those hips kept on swaying on the screen, in perfect accordance to the show Lapine was giving in half-private for Harold, yet which all could experience for themselves soon. “It's a nice, warm place, soothing, fantastic and downright magical where it's so easy to relax...so easy to lose ourselves in...And Lapine is there, dancing, entertaining you all...It's so pretty to look at, she's so easy on the eyes, yes...So relaxing...So hypnotic~”
The mention of this and the music made it seem as if indeed there was a warm sun shining upon him as he truly felt like he was in a harem with Lapine dancing for his eyes...Yet she was also hypnotizing him and it felt so good. He was indeed stressed, anxious, deprived of regular sleep and this was perfect, exquisite even. This dream felt like an invitation which he couldn't refuse at all. Left and right...Right and left...Left and right...One second he was hyper-focusing on the pocket watch and the spiral within, swirling endlessly in a cyclical pattern, while the other he was instead watching her dance. Those curvaceous hips attached to those thick thighs, bumping along the sway, showing the extent of her flexibility through a sensual display, her navel deep and round against a smooth stomach. It was the former...then it was the latter until both superposed themselves, gaining a singular aspect of common fascination, the pocket watch and the navel being one, the arc of those hips and that trinket being one and the same.
“You're under the care of Lapine who is so good to you, so nice to look at, so easy to trust that you can't help but please her...your own belly dancer...performing for your eyes only...You can't help but watch as she wants you to relax and to be in a nice, deep trance,” Lièvre said, going behind Harold as she placed her hands on his shoulders, speaking through her microphone yet also directly to him in something akin to a soft whisper. “Fall deeply for her...You are under her power, helpless before her charm...You are hypnotized...And sleepy...Dreaming of her...Thinking of her...As you enter, once and for all...The Hare-abian Nights~”
SNAP!
Harold was entirely entranced by now, all worries dissipated as he drifted in a place of pillows, of cushions, of hookah and of course where Lapine could be found. She indulged him, fanned his warm body and whispered with a soft voice, her eyes still hidden beneath that hair and yet it was easy to fall for her, the sound of music seemingly drowning her voice and yet the tone and melodious whispers thrown his way felt desirable to his hypnotized mind. He pictured her dancing and so she did, belly rolls, hip sways, hip drops and plenty of motions all putting an emphasis on her delicious-looking hips and that delectable navel of hers. It was a true piece of hypnotic fantasy, a delight unlike any other until...
SNAP!
“Aaaaaand wide awake, everyone!” Lièvre said, having snapped her fingers and now allowing everyone a brief respite after all of this happened, the curtains closing to hide the screen which was now black, turned off. “I'm always a little wary to close with this number as it's essentially putting everyone to sleep, which is a big no-no for entertainers...But you seem to have enjoyed it alright...So everyone, give yourselves a nice round of applause and one for Harold here who got on stage...Thank you, all of you!”
Harold felt somewhat groggy after this, everything seemingly happening at once as thanks were given, the two bunny girls bowed and then it was time for him to go forth and go with the end of his first shift at the casino level. He did feel slightly good once he returned completely to reality, though, this little trance having effectively allowed him to feel well-rested, which was mighty kind of them both. He hadn't expected much from those two bunny-themed girls and their rather incredible makeup, but he had been pleasantly surprised all things considered. He almost hoped to be on security detail for their next one here should they decide to come back. As he worked, ate during his lunch break and then resumed his duties with all the efforts he could muster, he then prepared to head home until, once more at the last moment, another shift was offered to him: security detail in the still-under-construction museum part of the complex. He had done this prior and it was an incredibly boring and uneventful couple of hours in which he'd protect pieces of art from exactly nobody. It hadn't even been opened to the public yet and yet Mr. Trisotto seemed paranoid about people stealing from him, so that meant some people would work at night and pretend like this was important for his sake...and a bigger paycheck. He groaned a little, thought about it and then relented as he headed for the museum part, using his security pass to get there.
The first few hours were exactly like he thought they'd be: uneventful. He was all alone, of course, as even in these kind of excess of the personnel and budget Mr. Trisotto could find ways to be a cheapskate as he tried his very best to look busy...Until he sat down, picked up his phone and prepared to look at videos to pass the time. A little sound and a few whispers caught his attention, though, as he thought he heard something at first, yet the sound of something falling down with a clank made him realize that, for once, someone was actually trying to break in and steal something. He was alone, armed with nothing but a nightstick and a can of pepper spray...What if they were numerous? What if they had guns? Such questions popped in his mind and yet he needed this job and if anything would be stolen...he'd lose it. Perhaps even get sued for negligence. About to call for backup, he found that his talkie-walkie had disappeared suddenly...Then he heard footsteps behind him.
“Oh hi Harold! Fancy meeting you here!”
He recognized that voice and as he turned around, ready to brandish his nightstick he found Lièvre holding his radio device, a little perky smile on her face...and still wearing the bunny makeup and the same ensemble as back when she was on stage. “Small world, uh?” she continued, her hat in her hand as she seemed to be genuinely content that he was there for some reason. “Listen, this is nothing personal. In fact, I kinda feel sorry for you, but I'm afraid you can't really stop us, darling.”
About to reach for his blunt tool of crowd suppression, as some liked to call the nightstick, a bunch of serpents erupted from the hat as they coiled around Harold, hissing in a threatening fashion as he was scared out of his gourd due to this sudden apparition of those scaled menace. As they restrained his arms, his ankles and his hands, they then turned into ropes, sealing his movements right there and then as he fell on his knees. “W-what the-”
His almost-asked question was followed nearly by one more as Lapine emerged from the hat too, yet in a torrent of sparkling, glimmering and sweet-smelling smoke as she puffed out, then bowed before Lièvre. “The task is done, now let us retrieve everything here,” she said, returning to her more aloof position despite being still garbed in that harem getup. Part of Harold couldn't really get enough of her as he glanced on occasion at the beautiful bunny girl, especially her midriff, yet he tried to resist the temptation as much as he could.
“Wait a minute...Is this...Is this real magic?” Harold asked, the smoke still lingering, Lapine emerging from the hat which was filled with snakes a few seconds ago, said slithering creatures turning into rope that bound him...On stage it could be faked...but here?
“Yes it is! Good eye, Harold!” Lièvre said, obviously very pleased that someone caught on to this as she smiled in a very radiant fashion. “Lapine, through weird circumstances, is actually a genie and all the magic you saw during the show...All real thanks to her. She's really quite something, isn't she? Then again...I'm really there for theatrics, but...”
“Does that mean that...You're...” Harold said, rather flabbergasted by this reveal, doubting it a touch because it was too wild, too out-there to be real...Yet a part of him believed it too. “You're actually bunny girls? How did that happen?”
“Because someone wished to be as cute and sexy as those bunny girls in the magazines...and kinda forgot to mention which magazines and bunny girls she was talking about,” Lapine said, throwing a glare toward Lièvre who herself looked away, whistling as if she was innocent like in those silly cartoons. “And then conveniently forgot that I can't undo a wish, so we're stuck like this...So really show business is pretty much the only place where we can be seen and get steady jobs...”
So it was true. It could still be a complete fake-out, yet the ropes were too tight, their appearance too believable to be make-believe as Harold tried to struggle yet one lift of Lapine's finger tightened those bonds around him, cementing that she had control over it. “But why barge in on the museum? Why do this?” he asked, his curiosity being too piqued to either stay silent or try his best to gather some help.
“Because Mr. Trisotto is a cheat, a jerk who went on to use embezzled funds to have pieces destined to a real museum for his own collection and gain...He's a scumbag and we're gonna expose him!” Lièvre answered, delivering a passionate plea which was almost ruined by her taking on a pose which was possibly supposed to be heroic, yet ended up as childish.
“What she means is that she wants to be a mysterious and sexy heroine and thus she gets in trouble like this,” Lapine said, disabused from such notions as she crossed her arms, decidedly not buying this as much as Lièvre did.
“H-hey! You actually like this too, you know. Using your powers for the greater good, being sexy and mysterious...” Lièvre replied, embarrassed a little as she darted a look at Harold before looking away back at Lapine. “Aren't you proud of our work?”
“Absolutely...and I look absolutely amazing while doing it, thank you very much...But we can't really be mysterious if we get seen,” Lapine pointed out, literally pointing a finger at Harold who looked at this surreal scene and didn't quite know what to make of it. He figured Mr. Trisotto, like most really rich people, was kind of a scumbag, but an actual example which indicated that this was the truth of it did change things just a little...and yet he was still in need of a job and the pay which came with it. “Now deal with him as I'll go on and pick everything in the room. He's your mess to deal with.”
And thus Lapine went inside the museum part, leaving Lièvre with Harold as she grinned in a mode which only indicated stress and panic, an expression Harold knew quite well. “Okaaaaaay...So...Yeah, you're gonna tell on us, uh?” she said out loud, pacing herself as she tried to find a solution to her dilemma, then in a fraction of second, before Harold could even say anything, she lightly slapped her forehead and her expression changed to illumination, as if the answer was right there before her eyes. “Oh, but of course! How silly of me!”
And then she picked up the pocket watch, the very same one from the show earlier today as she swung it before his eyes, then whispered something in a hushed, almost-sensual tone.
“Drift into the Hare-abian Nights for me~”
The way she talked, the swinging pocket watch being in front of his face and the mention of those words triggered something inside him as he was swept inside the spiral...but also inside the fantasy world that had been created during the show as he saw a phantom-like version of Lapine dancing along with the pocket watch, those same hip sways going on to make him fall deeply into a trance once more.
“Now I want you to indulge in that fantasy, to even deeper in the Hare-abian Nights for me...” Lièvre said, her voice a little playful as she bent over slightly, whispering into his ear. “Have 1001 dreams of pure loveliness, of hypnotic bliss...and then wake up...And let the Hare-Abian Nights please you to your heart's content~”
His mind obeyed as he instantly was moved to a different area, one in which he was seated atop a throne with two bunny girls going on to dance before his eyes, at one time competing and at others going on to collaborate to titillate and tease him playfully. It was Lièvre and Lapine, the two of them dressed in the same manner with the former still having her star and the heart on her cheek while the other would look uninterested at first, yet the hint of a sultry smile said differently. They spun and twirled, going on to weave two trails of silk, one black and the other white before they converged together, forming a spiral exactly like that of the pocket watch yet with their silhouette teasing him behind those long and see-through cloaks...
However, he switched and was then on a flying carpet across a starry sky, high up there as he was dressed in a way akin to an animated movie that he loved as a kid...and the two bunny girls were playing the other part, the princess who was awed by this flight happening due to magic and wonder. However, no singing happened as they wore the sumptuous, delightful garments of the princess and yet went on to swing superb sapphires attached to strings, waving them hypnotically as they were on their knees, doing so right in front of their belly button to ensure that he'd be left unable to stare anywhere else...
But then the scenario changed anew, with him being seated in a tavern-like place, a stage in front of him, taller than him as two lovely bunny girls with long ponytails, looking like a mixture of half a genie and half like a heroine from far-away fairy tales went on to sway their hips in unison, a black and white spiral swirling behind them while they looked at him with smiles, their hair somehow merging with the background to create a psychedelic little montage. Soon, their hips went on to go faster as the spirals followed suit, resulting in Harold being overpowered yet very lovingly staring nevertheless until he felt as if he was sucked in the spiral itself...
The scenarios followed suit, some of them familiar and some new, each one of them featuring both Lapine and Lièvre as his mind obeyed that command of multiple fantasies striking at him with charm, hypnosis and complete seduction. He was entrapped within the so-called Hare-abian Nights and it was, despite it all, fantastic. His worries faded away, any problems he had were forgotten for the remainder of those absolute thrills and alluring little scenes in which he partook as eventually...
He was woken up.
Had he been through the whole 1001 dreams, or had he been snapped out of it first? He couldn't quite tell as he had been freed of his rope, albeit many thought it real weird that he had been sleeping with his eyes open, with black and white swirls within as he smiled like a fool, drooling copiously. With the museum having effectively been robbed of all its stock, Harold was fired on the spot for his incompetence...though he hadn't been sued for reasons that escaped him. He had, however, to start looking for another job as he cleared his locker then headed back home with no severance pay due to the level of his mistake, “a very light slap on the wrist compared to what you'd really owe Mr. Trisotto” he'd been told. Having work six shifts in three days, he didn't feel so lucky as he drove back to his home, rather defeated. He picked up his mail, crashed onto his couch and sighed profusely, feeling extremely down as he threw the junk mail, kept the bills...and saw an envelope with a little bunny icon on it. It made him think of these two, the bunnies of...pah...bonne fortune as he was of a mind to just throw it away, yet curiosity was stronger than his disgust as he opened it up and went on to read the content.
Hey Harold,
We're really sorry about what happened yesterday. You were just a guy doing his job, trying to live and we messed it up real good.
Mr. Trisotto really is a scumbag, though, and he'll get what's coming to him really soon. We have all the evidence we need now...Even though Lapine told me we could have skipped all of that and made it appear in front of us with a wish...But where's the fun in that? ;)
Yeah, okay, it would have been much easier and less risky and I'm terrible at thinking with genie powers...But we had fun, yeah? I mean, those dreams must have been super sweet back then as you were smiling so peacefully and lovingly, so completely hypnotized and all.
We got your address by asking and Lapine told me to make things right and so I did. The moment you finish reading this letter, there will be a completely legitimate and absolutely-not unlawful deposit to your account so that you'll have it easier for a little while. Think of it as a way of saying that we're really sorry, okay?
You're a decent guy, Harold, and don't let anyone tell you any different.
If you want to drift back in the the Hare-Abian Nights, call me at this number and I'll indulge you all you want.
Lièvre (and also technically Lapine)
As he posed the letter and saw not just a phone number but a little kiss mark beside it, Harold was merely confused as he then heard his phone vibrate, an indicative that he got an email. Opening it up, he saw that it was his bank as he clicked on it...and saw that there were indeed a deposit in his account...One which came with one number and six zeroes following it. Astonished, completely shocked by this, he closed his phone, leaned against his couch and took a deep breath, one which he felt like he deserved as if taking the biggest breather he could ever afford as he realized two things. One, all of his debts would go away like magic and two...
He needed to make a phone call to a very special girl with very special ears...

I wanted a more comedic/funny duo without sacrificing the cheesecake and I went for a relationship between those two which emphasized the performing aspect, but also went with some puns and light entertainment too with their story...by also making them central but not the point-of-view.
