Minotaurs are large humanoids that closely resemble monstrous bovines. They are very rare and reclusive, and often lead solitary lives, isolating themselves in ancient ruins or deep dungeons for decades.
Minotaurs are big, strong and heavy, covered in thick hides and wild furs that usually come in brown, grey, black or white. Their hair is shorter and sparser on the chest and stomach, revealing a brown or dark grey skin. They have taurine heads with long horns, but their sharp teeth reveal their carnivorous diet.
They present a sexual dimorphism similar to that of humans, with females being slightly smaller on average, with wider hips and human-like breasts.
It seems that Minotaurs may have been more civilized and even builders of great cities in a distant past, and many dwell in the largely abandoned and forgotten ruins of said cities. While they haven't forgotten their crafts, from masonry to metallurgy and weaving, they seem to be undergoing a worldwide crisis of primitivistic decadence, as if their entire race had decided to abandon the ways of civilization, or had been cursed to this fate.
Minotaurs are known for their fiery passion and deep melancholies, and are often considered obfuscated or even mad. Their fits of rage and their animalistic hungers are widely knonwn, and contribute to making Minotaurs feared by most of the smaller races.
