The following is a bio card for one of my newer OC villains, a vicious, psychotic, man-eating mutant by the name of 'Mauler'.
Mauler is a mutant; not quite the same as an inhuman but altered enough to no longer classify as a human being, especially given his rather bloodthirsty appetite. Like Mako, Mauler's only concern is serving Koloss in any way he can. Unlike Mako, he's a mutant of few words, often times, interested in literally nothing but mauling anything he can get his claws and fangs into. It's unknown if Mauler was born human or if he was always the way he was, but whatever the case may be, the end result has left him with an almost animalistic need to hunt, maim and devour. In fact, unlike Koloss and Mako, he almost always prefers raw meat over any other kind of meal, particular raw, bloody meat he's hunted himself.
Despite his utter lack of sanity, Mauler is surprisingly loyal and reliable to his boss, Koloss, and partner / best friend, Mako.
Some tidbits:
- Beneath Mauler's mask, is an abnormally large mouth full of fangs and a noise that almost resembles a snakes instead of a human nose. And while not visible due to his messy hair, he actually possesses sharp, pointed ears.
- Beneath Mauler's gauntlets and boots are clawed fingers and clawed toes, but not nearly sharp enough to match his bloodlust.
- Mauler's mask, gauntlets and clawed boots are designed to allow him to hunt and use his every limbs and jaws as weapons the way a tiger might hunt. It's all designed to match his animalistic nature.
- Mauler doesn't talk nearly as much as Mako or Koloss. He's a creature of very few words, and the most he ever talks is with Mako.
- Despite his ravenous, psychotically feral nature, he's surprisingly tame when it's just him, Mako and Koloss.
- Mauler doesn't regard himself as evil, but he also doesn't regard human life as anything above, say, cattle, and views them as fair game for the hunt.
- Mauler is asexual, possessing no feelings towards any sex nor does he have any sort of sex drive. He is often driven purely by hunger and a need to kill.
- Despite that, Mauler genuinely loves Mako like a brother, not just as a fellow henchman.
- Mauler has an incredibly high tolerance for pain, despite possessing a weaker regenerative system than both Koloss and Mako. The pain registers in his brain and hurts like all hell, but Mauler is just capable of just enduring the worst kinds of pains imaginable.
- Mauler isn't trained in conventional hand-to-hand combat. His fighting style is not unlike his hunting style. He relies entirely on his claws and his fangs, often trying to kill his opponent as soon as a fight begins, largely just so he can eat them.
- Due to Mauler's small frame, he tends to devour his prey by ripping them apart with his claws and fangs, just opting to devour the meat and most of the time, leaving the bones.
- Between the two, Mako is a bit more childish, but Mauler is prone to the occasional fits of childishness from time to time, if his and Mako's impromptu burping contests are any indication.
- Mauler isn't one to tease his prey the way Koloss does. He views that as the equivalent of teasing a cow before slaughtering it. "Just kill the animal and feast on the meat," is his mindset.
- Mauler's stomach is capable of expanding beyond normal human capacity, but doesn't compete with Mako's or especially not Koloss' stomach capacity.
- Mauler's species hails from more desolate, dune-like climates, hence his earthy color scheme.
- The tubes in Mauler's mask circulate oxygen through Mauler's system since his species occasionally suffers respiratory problems.
- Mauler's mask also enhances the amount of pressure applied to every chomp of his jaws to the point where a single bite can equate to a thousand pounds of pressure being chomped down all at once, giving Mauler the equivalent of a wolf bite.
- Mauler's metal claws can pierce clean through most metals.
- Mauler doesn't go after children for the same reason he thinks veal is kind of messed up.
