I had difficulty categorizing this on DevART... I guess they're suppose to be vaguely anthropomorphic, but they're a little too human in character design (although Omar has that godawful snout).

Anywho, here are the main characters, Angel and Omar, from the fantastic 1983 movie "Rock and Rule." It's in the same vein as "Heavy Metal" but with a more coherent storyline. It strikes me as one of those movies that you either love or hate, and I happened to love it <3 Great story and fantastic music! It's a little dated, but such is the nature of retro rock & roll movies ;)

They were friggen hard to draw! Angel has strange cat-like features, but not quite... And Omar has this horrible snout at some angles, but looks kinda hot at others... Great mullet too ;) Something about animated mullets is awesome... no matter how nasty they are in real life, haha.

If you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it! I watched it on YouTube... I'm completely in love with "Angel's Song" and had to compile my own soundtrack to listen to repeatedly, haha.
