When last we left off the lovely Hula Girl was upto her neck in trouble, more specifically Quicksand,…
Despite her struggles to free herself from this quaking quagmire our valiant heroine only sank deeper and deeper in, while reaching out towards something, or someone, unseen to the viewers.
Oh No! With her face submerged it looks like the quicksand is only moments away from swallowing her up, as her hand waves desperately in the air, never ceasing her struggles. Could this truly be the end of the heroic Paradise Defender? Has she met her fate in this treacherous and deceptive Beach Quicksand?
Wait!! What’s this??
A hand reaching in to grab onto Hula Girl’s and potentially save the champion of Coconut Island? Who could this mysterious rescuer, also with tropically tan-looking skin, be?
----
And so the saga continues, picking up with what is the 9th image in this series by the incredible
shonuff44 featuring his lovely character Hula Girl, and now a surprise guest. And could this actually be a rescue? That would certainly be a first for me, wouldn’t it? ;)
I love how much this piece conveys, even without her face being seen,… her hand waving in the first panel really does express Hula Girl perhaps realizing that she might just be at the end of her rope here, the motion lines really enhancing so much. And the second panel the action lines around the hands and the edges of the picture really give a great sense of tension, you can just about feel how tight those hands are clasping each other. Once again the quicksand just looks great, especially with the added sandy texture, and Hula Girl’s hair spread atop it, around the top of her head, is simply marvelous.
What do you think? :D
