What's he doing this far north?

Several months back I was tending to the roses at my former workplace and noticed this little guy scampering around on the plants. He seems to be an anole, he shouldn't be any further north than North Carolina. I lived in MA at the time.

He was probably a pet somebody released thinking he'd be okay in reality he dies in the winter.... sad thing when that happens.

It's possible.
It's also possible he came with some of the roses. The nursery would get them from multiple suppliers all over the country.

I tried to grab him after I took the picture but he ran away and hid himself well enough that I couldn't find him again.

Oh it was at a nursery. Then ya thats possible too. Though you took the pictures at some random location you worked. Didnt know you worked at a nursery.
