"Need help finding those Cyclops fragments?"_______________________________________________________________________After the Aurora crashed, Frackata was devastated. He'd thought the only somewhat sentient entity besides himself that remained would be his PDA, and even then, it was stuck on emergency mode. Alterra, while shady with their motives, did train him well should this event ever happen during his travels. However, as he kept picking up more and more signals from the other life pods that were surrounding him, the survivors seem to have been gobbled up or maimed by... something... before he even managed to arrive. Was he truly that lucky?
Well, to Frackata's benefit, perhaps there was a god- for as he was wandering through the mushroom forest in order to find Lifepod 13, he encountered an unusual specimen of some sort that seemed to be some sort of wolf/fish hybrid- and they were capable of speaking English! They seemed to greet him with friendly intent, which left Frackata feeling a bit uneasy, but after the merwolf assisted Frackata in locating not only the life pod, but also several Cyclops fragments, he felt he was deemed trustworthy, and Frackata allowed him to follow him back to base. The merwolf- later discovered to be named Kreo- now relaxes within the moonpool of Frackata's seabase, where he tells the tale of how he was once a previous crew member of an age- old ship deemed the Wanderer II, which rather coincidentally was also shot down by the same yet- unknown force on 4546B that took down the Aurora. Apparently, his body adapted to the ocean environment while the rest of his unfortunate crew succumbed to the violent fauna that Frackata had narrowly escaped from several times before.
For now, Kreo and Frackata work together to keep each other alive. Kreo kept Frackata fed well with large rations of fish and new fragments to scan, while Frackata made Kreo a bit more at home by adding an extra lower- section to his seabase, then allowed it to flood so Kreo could freely swim through it with little repercussions. He also used the fragments Kreo brought him to advance and delve deeper into this strange ocean. This exchange might have proven enough to keep both of them alive, if not for the evident omnipresence of an odd alien bacteria that seems to be slowly growing within most of the fauna on the planet, including Kreo and Frackata, being brought to attention when Frackata's PDA suggested that he scanned himself.
Not only that, but a deep, alluring force seems to be beckoning them deeper and deeper... perhaps the answer to not only cure the both of them, but also to escape this planet for good lies down there, in wait..._______________________________________________________________________Subnauticomm~ Wasn't expecting Figstard to pay a due artist for me during the pandemic, as I found out when I DID finally acquire enough to pay for it, my invoice was already paid!
